Adelaide's water, and what it means for your shower

Chloramine is more stable than free chlorine. It does not dissipate if water is left to stand, and it is harder to reduce in the short contact time a shower allows. That is why the cartridge carries a dedicated Vitamin C stage for it, backed by an activated-carbon polish - and why we say it helps reduce chloramine rather than removes it.

What we claim, and what we don't

We say: the four-stage media reduces chlorine and helps reduce chloramine.

We don't say: that it removes either one, or quote a percentage. Contact time in a shower is short and performance varies with your water - a number would imply a precision we haven't independently verified.

On certification: the KDF-55 media is certified to NSF/ANSI 42. The finished filter is not NSF certified.
